Five Tips for a Cozy Holiday Home
There is something about the holiday season and cold weather that brings out the desire for warm layers, comforting scents, and cozy vibes! Every year we pull out soft blankets and sprinkle greenery and twinkle lights around the house, and it feels so wonderful to cozy up on the couch together at the end of the day! Here are a few ways we make our home warm and welcoming for the season.
Five Tips for a Cozy Holiday Home:
-
Add warmth with beeswax candles. I love the simplicity of greenery, twinkle lights and candles on the mantle and dining room table. The warm glow in the early mornings and evenings is so lovely!
-
Drape greenery over windows, along the table, over the doorways. We love to forage for pretty sprigs in the yard as well! We have small mugs and vases of cedar and spruce placed throughout the home, and I love the little touches of nature!
-
Up the coziness of your fireplace or wood burning stove with spiced pinecone starters! There isn’t much better than a warm fire on a cold night, especially when it smells like cinnamon!
-
Add soft layers with flannel sheets and cuddly blankets on the beds and thick throw blankets on the couches.
-
Fill your home with the scents of the season (and none of the toxins from scented candles!) with some of our favorite essential oils and a cute diffuser!
